BIO

Chandler Condon’s practice is rooted in close observation of the natural world and an affinity for the mythic, the playful, and the psychedelic. Her work weaves together flora and fauna, dreamlike narratives, and vibrant chromatic systems to create visual environments that feel both familiar and otherworldly. Drawing from ecology, mysticism, and lived experience, Condon constructs phantasmagorical scenes that invite viewers into parallel landscapes shaped by curiosity, wonder, and humor.

Working fluidly across illustration, design, and printmaking, Condon employs bold color palettes, sinuous forms, and rhythmic compositions that echo organic growth patterns found in rivers, forests, and imagined ecosystems. Her visual language often oscillates between meticulous detail and spontaneous mark-making, reflecting a balance between intention and play. These works function as both meditations on interconnectedness and celebrations of creative freedom, positioning art as a communal and regenerative force.

Condon’s interdisciplinary background in natural resources, sustainability, and tourism informs her artistic outlook, grounding her aesthetic explorations in environmental awareness and stewardship. Her time studying sustainability in Monteverde, Costa Rica, alongside her ongoing engagement with artist communities in Colorado, has shaped a practice that values collaboration, conservation, and accessibility. She is drawn to projects that foster community building, amplify music and art cultures, and encourage collective care for shared spaces.

Her work has been exhibited in juried festivals and exhibitions including the Valley Junction Art Festival, the Des Moines Women’s Club 115th Art Exhibition at Hoyt Sherman Place, and Access Gallery’s Annual Exhibition in Denver, as well as student exhibitions at Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design. She has been recognized with multiple awards, including a Bronze Award for Best Promotional Brochure from the International Festivals & Events Association (2024) and several People’s Choice Awards.

Originally from Des Moines, Iowa, Condon has spent the past decade immersed in Colorado’s creative and natural landscapes. She holds a B.F.A. in Illustrative Design from Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design and a B.S. in Natural Resources, Recreation, and Global Tourism from Colorado State University, with a minor in Spanish. Currently freelancing, she contributes work to organizations such as Cherry Creek Arts Festival while continuing to develop new screenprint and illustration projects.

You’ll often find Condon sketching by a riverbank, inventing new worlds for print, or collaborating with fellow artists—engaged in an ongoing dialogue between nature, imagination, and community.
